I love reviewing products from David C Cook and their “The Easter Storybook” was no exception! This is a lovely hardback book full of beautiful, colorful pictures. My children loved it! Keep reading to find out how we used it 🙂

We used this book as a read-a-loud for our morning devotion time. It was absolutely perfect for our range of ages. We have a 9, 6, 3 and 1 year old. The stories were detailed but only 1 page long so it easily held the younger ones attention. Even my one year old liked it for the bright pictures.

We read 1 story a day and though we aren’t quite through it yet we should be by Easter which was my goal!

Each story is taken from the Bible (naturally) and is from the life of Jesus. It will take you on a 40 day journey with Him to give you and your kids a true view and the meaning of Easter. Though these are for children they are not watered down versions of the real thing. This is important to me!

How to use The Easter Storybook…

This is excellent to use not only in your family but also in Sunday School and Children’s Church! It does make a perfect seasonal devotion for your entire family especially. Each story has a Bible passage that its taken from at the beginning and a thought-provoking question at the end!

Some of our favorite stories from this book were Jesus Feeds His Sheep and Jesus and the Children. I loved how they put everything into simple language young children can understand. My 3 year old absolutely loved it but my 9 year old asked several deep questions so it definitely appeals to different ages. The hardback quality is excellent and the pages are thick. I expect it to be very durable and long lasting, which is important to me. Plus I just LOVE hardback books!

This would make an excellent gift to your children or the children in your life. An in lieu of a book about the Easter bunny perhaps you would rather place this in their Easter basket for a faith building gift!

David C Cook publishes books that are meant to be a blessing to both the home and church! We have reviewed several other of their products. A recent one is The Action Bible ANYTIME Devotion.

As always I am highly impressed with the quality of their books both in physical and in the reading material! You CANNOT have too many faith building resources at your disposal!
