Do you want to help equip your children with a rock solid faith and the ability to turn to God’s Word no matter what they’re going through? Then read on to learn about “The Action Bible ANYTIME Devotions” by David C Cook that we are reviewing for you this week!

Action Bible devotion

First off, this is a heavy duty paperback with thick, colorful pages. Its sure to appeal to your kids with its bright graphic comic book style! My sons loved the appearance of it! It does correspond with The Action Bible, however we don’t have that one and it worked just fine by us reading the references out of our Bible, so don’t let that deter you😁

How is this devotional for kids set up?

This has “90 Devotions to face the real world with active faith“. What does that mean for you and your children? It means its set up to encourage your children to “learn, apply, relate, think, talk, share and take”. This is all REAL WORLD stuff! I’ll give you a few examples…oh and its got an index in the front that lists the devotions name and its category, such as faith, strength, kindness. So when you or your kids need help with that area its super simple to pick a devotion!

Anyway, they each have a real life problem addressed like what to do if you are faced with choices on whether or not to do something you know is wrong. Or how to deal with social media pressures. Kids (and adults) really do face unique challenges and they should be talked about and taken to God’s Word and shown how to find answers to their questions and struggles!

Each double page has a Bible verse at the top, practical application, what God’s Word says about it, and taking it further where you can either go to The Action Bible or your own Bible to read the whole story! Each page has graphic comic book style painting.

I read these aloud to my kids as part of our morning Bible time. They all seemed to really enjoy them though the older boys liked them the most obviously! We read one devotion per day. Some days i let the boys pick a topic and some days i picked it. These are especially perfect for kids who love comic books!

Why would you want to get this Action Bible devotion?

Our kids face SO much opposition to their faith, they need every help that we can give them! David C Cook has a mission to “equip the local church around the corner and around the globe to make disciples”. They have a wonderful selection of faith building materials for you and your family.
