G. A. Henty’s: The Cat of Bustabees-Audio Adventures

Jenny/ February 11, 2022/ Homeschool Reviews

Do you love a good story? My family sure does, especially my 11 year old son. So when we were blessed to get to review G. A. Henty’s “The Cat of Bustabees” Audio Adventures from Heirloom Audio I was very excited! I knew we were in for a great story.

Audio Adventures

First off, some background here…Heirloom Audio produces fantastic audio adventures that the entire family will enjoy. Everyone from 1-110😍 In fact one day we were listening to one while driving with my 81 year old Mom and she loved it. This was especially wonderful because she was having memory problems and this held her attention unlike most things. Anyway on to the adventure.

Like all the other adventures this one has excellent sound effects, sound quality and voices. You actually feel like you’re living in the story, which is super amazing in my opinion and it takes an incredible amount of talent and work to accomplish that!

In this exciting audio adventure a young prince named Amuba is captured along with his faithful servant Jethro. I don’t want to spoil the plot but let’s say there is intrigue, mystery, a dash of romance and an introduction to the God of the Hebrews! You’ll also find out that in ancient Egypt it was a VERY bad idea to kill a cat (accidentally or not)! It all makes for a wonderful story that is as historically stimulating as it is entertaining!

Why choose audio adventures?

One of my very favorite things about these audio adventures is that I can use them for history class with my kids. But these aren’t dull, try to remember names and dates. This is actually a living history! They learn not only history but all get a great background on amazing things in Christianity’s past!

These make great gifts for anyone or as a fantastic part of your homeschool curriculum! I highly recommend these and look forward to posting our 3rd review in the upcoming weeks!

*I apologize for an unexpected delay as I had some very serious health problems and was out of commission for awhile!*
