Britfield & The Rise Of The Lion

Jenny/ July 5, 2021/ Homeschool Reviews

I absolutely LOVE a good book and a couple years ago we reviewed Britfield and my son was crazy about it. He’d been anxiously awaiting the next installment in this 7 book series and here it is: Britfield & The Rise Of The Lion!

This is a HUGE 470 page adventure book and is a sequel to “Britfield & The Lost Crown” book 1. Jake has listened to that book on audio at least a dozen times. In my reviews I don’t like to give a very detailed recap of the book because that’s a huge spoiler. What I will tell you is Tom and Sarah are continuing their journey and are now in France. Their encounters are going to get even more exciting and dangerous than the last book and worldwide intrigue and deception are becoming exposed.

Honestly as I was reading this book I had to wonder if there might be a thread of truth in the masterminding of wars, turmoil ect that we experience. I’m excited for the next book!

First off, these books are suitable for anyone in my opinion. There are no inappropriate parts that will require screening. There is fighting, injuries, death ect but it’s quite tasteful. While suspenseful it is not scary!

Britfield

I love that there is SO much history in this book! Each place they travel to enlightened me to a little more European history which is a great side benefit to reading a thrilling adventure story!

There will be a total of 7 books and 7 movies in this series so you’re kids will have alot to look forward to! I’m betting that you’ll enjoy them also😜. How often can you find a good adventure series for your kids that emphasizes faith, friendship and honor? These books do it all!

Quick recap of the first 2 Britfield books:

Tom and Sarah are in an orphanage in England. They find evidence Tom’s parents are still alive and he might be an heir to the British throne. They escape with the help of new friends and make their way to France where this book begins! There they travel through many harrowing events, make new friends, find old ones and learn deep hidden secrets. There’s a twist ending you won’t want to miss! I hope you enjoy these as much as we did 🙂

Happy Reading!
