Inconvenient Family's Fall Update

Jenny/ September 20, 2018/ Family Life

Ok, so I’m jumping the gun by 2 days (Fall doesn’t technically arrive until Saturday) but I’m SO ready for Fall!  Here’s an update on what’s happening with our family this Fall.

I’m continuing to grow, lol.  I’m getting sideways hugs from my kiddoes and hubby as little daughter gets bigger.  My appetite has finally kicked in and I gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks!  Ahhh!  So far, I’ve gained 15 pounds and I’m almost to 23 weeks.  My goal is 30 pounds; we’ll see if I can keep it that low.  I’m eating really healthy and am trying some new things, like soaking my nuts and seeds to enhance vitamin asorption, sprouting grains and using sourdough, lacto-fermentation (which has been a huge blessing for my digestive system), keto-coffee (homemade), desiccated liver capsules (which have increased my energy amazingly) and exercising every day.

The boys are growing by leaps and bounds.  Their favorite thing lately has been acrobatics (which give Dennis and I heart attacks at regular intervals).  They love doing flips, climbing and swinging upside down by their legs.  We’ve been encouraging upper body strength enhancing activities like these.  We’ve also started doing a Family Time Fitness program together multiple times a week.  The kids love it!

Lilly is a nut!  She thinks she is just as big as older brothers and attempts to join in at everything they are doing.  Sometimes this turns out good and sometimes not so good. 🙂  She talks all the time!  In FULL sentences! The boys did not do this at that early of an age.  I’m not sure if its because she’s a girl, the 3rd child or is perhaps advanced (maybe all 3?) but she is definitely a little bright light in our home and is adored by everyone.

Dennis is impatiently waiting on Fall and the pumpkins, nice fishing weather and flannel shirts it brings.  He is definitely not a summer person and this one has been so hot!  We are planning on several road trips as the weather nicens (another huge benefit of homeschooling!) and hiking is certainly on our agenda!

We also plan on going to a pumpkin farm and decorating the yard for Fall, going to an orchard for apples and fresh apple cider.  I am planning on making apple cider donuts (those are low carb, right?).

So, there’s our update on what’s going on with us.  What about you?  Fall plans?
