"God is Better Than Princesses" book review
Do you have a little girl who is your princess? I do, so I was excited to get her a rhyming picture book based on scripture to review called “God is Better Than Princesses” by Christian Focus.
First off, this book is a beautiful, hardback and seems very durable. Like I’ve said before, I absolutely love hardback books! This one is lovely and full of color, which little ones love!
Each page is full of a description of princesses and then a verse from the Bible that describes how God is better than princesses. There is also a full color painting of what is being described.
This book also teaches the alphabet and each page addresses a new letter of the alphabet. My favorite was: “A princess can live happily ever after only to the end of her life. God gives his people a life full of joy with him forever in Heaven. God is better than princesses! Revelation 21:4 “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying , nor pain.”

Teaches the A, B, C’s in a fun, innovative way!
“God is Better Than Princesses” is a great read a loud to your little girls. We read this to ours multiple times and she loved it! Shhh. Don’t say I told, but the boys listened to the book also. Daddy’s might especially enjoy this opportunity of reading this as a bedtime story to their little ones. You can teach them that their true treasure and worth isn’t in temporal things like beauty, material possessions or power but in the fact they are created in the image of God and are truly princesses because they are the child of the King!
I highly recommend this book for all the little girls in your life! It would make a great gift or as a Sunday school resource! Christian Focus also has many other resources including Sunday School curriculum, devotionals, biographies and more! Their goal is to spread their conviction that God’s Word is reliable and Jesus is the only way to know him! You can feel confident in supporting a company like that!
