A Review of Magic Stix & A Giveaway!
I don’t know about other homeschooling mamas but I have a mild addiction to magic markers and when I got the opportunity to review Magic Stix Washable Markers from The Pencil Grip Inc. I was super tickled! Don’t forget to read all the way to the bottom to learn about our GIVEAWAY!
Here is an example of my project, along with a close up to show the vibrant colors!
Maybe its because markers were such a treat when I was a kid but I absolutely love using them still to this day! And these markers are SWEET! I still enjoy crayons and colored pencils but magic markers are so much fun! (They’re especially fun when your child paints himself like Tigger with them, lol.)
These Magic Stix markers are definitely high quality markers! I like that because some markers seem only meant for one use 😉 First off, they come in a hard plastic case with individual clicking spots for each marker. And there are 24 markers with loads of variety in shades! Then there is the fact that they put the same colored cap on each marker! No more searching around for the right colored cap (does anyone else do this? or am I OCD?) when multiple markers are open!
(love the color varieties)
I also love the shape of these markers. They aren’t chunky but not skinny either. They are the perfect size for optimal control. I used them to do my adult cursive writing and my son (7) used them to do his cursive also and they performed beautifully.
My sons loved the brilliant colors and clicking them back into their spots (we are easily amused, lol). We did discover that my youngest son (4) wasn’t able to use them without great supervision since they did not wash off surfaces or hands easily (actually not at all on my wooden table, but I’m sure a magic eraser will take care of that).
Another thing I noticed was though the colors are vibrant and deep there is far less bleeding to the other side of your paper than with other markers. They also don’t seem to bleed onto the other colors like many markers do. We used these for coloring projects and writing. They stayed vibrant even after drying. They are guaranteed to not dry out even when the lid is left off for up to 7 days! I didn’t try this out simply because I wasn’t sure where a safe place to leave an opened marker could be found in the house (from a 4 & 1 year old!). Another thing I want to mention is the lack of smell! I am not a fan of smelly markers and these have absolutely no odor and are non-toxic (in case your child is like my 4 year old and eats everything, lol).
(minimal bleeding to the other side)
I’m actually claiming these markers for my own since I like them so well! They would make great craft markers for older children, and adults who do adult coloring books or even scrapbooking. I plan on continuing to let my older son use them in his cursive writing projects and in his note-booking projects. I also think I will use them to illustrate verses for him in his memory verse work each week. It makes it more eye-appealing with the lovely colors! I hope you’ll check out Magic Stix from the Pencil Grip! I think you will be as pleased with them as I was! Also, check out the other reviews on them at the link below!
