Easy snacks for kids

Jenny/ October 4, 2017/ Family Life

I don’t know about your kids, but mine eat ALL day long.  I have read that means they have nutritional deficiencies, not enough protein, blah, blah, blah.  I think its because they are so active and don’t eat a load at one setting.  So, having nutritious, easy snacks is a must at our house!

First stop:  fresh fruit!  They absolutely love fruit; frozen blueberries, sliced apples, oranges, bananas, strawberries.  We go through pounds and pounds of fruit in a week.

Second stop:  cheese & nuts.  I purchase raw almonds & walnuts by the pound and they consume them like candy (instead of candy).  Extra sharp cheddar cheese is a snack staple at our house.  They eat it with whole grain crackers, raisins & in whole wheat tortilla wraps.

Third stop: peanut butter wraps (natural peanut butter & whole grain wraps), turkey & cheese wraps, & cheese wraps.

Forth stop:  yogurt (plain greek yogurt sweetened with stevia & added fresh or frozen blueberries)

So that’s what we have for snacks at our house!  What do you have at yours?
