Library and Educational Services LLC Review

Jenny/ August 6, 2019/ Homeschool Reviews

If you know me at all in real life you quickly realize I am a book addict.  (I’m also heavily addicted to coffee, but I digress…)  So, when we were given the opportunity to review Library and Educational Services LLC I was soooo excited!  I mean, how can you go wrong with $70 of free books (and a audio-book)?  Really!!!  I’m talking library quality, hardback books or great, high quality paperbacks for the price of used books.  This is seriously the most awesome online bookstore I’ve ever shopped at!

What did I get?

1.  A Lifehouse Theater CD.  I picked “The Misadventures of Tom Sawyer”.  Just a note:  my 8 year old son has already listened to it 3 whole times and is crazy about it!  It was 70 minutes long and is fully dramatized.  It told the story of Tom Sawyer in an abbreviated version.  They did a fantastic job with this and the story flowed smoothly!

2.  A “What Was” book.  The one my son picked out was “What was D-Day?”  This is a paperback (but these are amazingly good quality paperbacks) that fully explained D-Day.  It went into great detail and is full of not only illustrations but also real photographs from this event!  My son has been very interested in WW2 history and this was perfect for him. It’s not full of gory details so it’s suitable for younger readers. I read this aloud to our boys.

3.  The Reinforced Hardcover Library Binding Nonfiction books.  Ok, these are just plain awesome!  (The pricing on these is incredible also!).  We got a set of “True Life Pirates” and “Courageous Heroes of the American West”.  We also got a book on Christopher Columbus.  We are gradually working through these and I am extremely impressed with these!

4.  We bought a character building book that was paperback called “Tom’s Revenge”.  I’ve been reading this to the boys a little at a time and they are enjoying it. These are older stories and it’s somewhat funny to see how opinions on certain things have changed. J plan on buying the rest of this character building book series.  I really had a hard time not buying more books.  As it was I spent $12 of my money but I got 14 books and 1 cd altogether!

What do I like about them?

Ummmm.  Everything!  The price, the quality and the selection are all just amazing!  I was used to ordering from another book company that produce good, high quality books but honestly they don’t compare to this one.  I could buy 4 times as many books from here as I could get from another company.

The shipping was extremely fast.  I had my books within a week of ordering!

The quality of the book content is great!  These fit perfectly in our Charlotte Mason method of homeschooling.  I have been learning right along with them as usual.  I mean, did you ever learn the true stories of real pirates in school?

This company has loads of books. They have fiction and non-fiction, audio-books, and more! There is really something for everyone. My kids are greatly enjoying all the ones we got and so am I.  I love how the “True Life Pirates” books had so much “extra” history and geography included. You could actually use these books for a unit study!

Library and Educational Services LLC sells at wholesale to libraries, schools, churches and… drumroll please…..homeschoolers!!!  Woohoo!  How absolutely amazing is that!!  I couldn’t be more pleased with this company and its products. I’ve been recommending them to all my friends and family already and I hope you’ll check them out!  I know you won’t be disappointed!
