As a one-income family of almost 6 its extremely important for us to be as frugal as possible with our purchases.  Once thing we are learning as a family is to be content with what we have.  I am also always on the lookout for specials, deals and discounts as well as the opportunity to earn extra money.  Come join our journey and let us be an encouragement to each other as we pursue frugal living!

How It All Started for Us

When we got married almost 18 years ago we honestly had no plans on having kids and we thought I would finish college and get a full-time job.  Fast forward a few years and our goal became debt-free living along with building our home debt-free.  We've been completely out of debt now for 11 years and built our home debt-free 9 years ago.  Then 8 years ago we had our first child and I quit my part-time job to stay home with him.  Since then I've made lots of mistakes and fumbles.  We've added 2 more (almost 3) kids to the mix now!  

What We've Learned

We've learned a lot in the past few years (mostly how much we don't know!  But the main thing is we don't know it all and never will so its important to keep learning!  That's one reason why I love frugal living blogs.  There's always something I can learn from others!  So, I'm going to post my own tips and advice here but I'm also going to link to other blog posts that are super helpful to me!  I hope you join us often and give your own advice!
