Online Times Alive for Multiplication Memorization
Jake has been working on memorizing multiplication so we requested to review OnlineTimes Alive from City Creek Press again! This is a super neat online program that uses songs, video, pictures and catchy lines to help you memorize your multiplication facts. And let me tell you, it WORKS! You can use it on your computer OR get the app!

This is such a great idea for learning, especially for auditory and visual learners. Each multiplication problem has a little video and song to stick it in your child’s mind. You can get monthly memberships or a yearly membership.

The whole program is extremely easy to navigate. Basically you set up your account then click on the Online Times Alive Member’s Area tab at the top of the page. This sends you to a page where all of your children can access the program. You simply type their login and the email account name and it saves their progress!
On their progress report page you can see at a glance which problems they have completed, their score and the time it took them to complete quizzes. You can also print this off for your records.
On the Lesson page you can start at the beginning and take a quiz to see how much your child knows or you can simply start where you know they need to be! (I love that ability!) You can also print off quizzes if you prefer, in-case your child does better on paper or you’re going to be gone from internet or computers!
As each lesson is completed it shows that beside it so you can easily keep track of where you’re at.

I love the way Times Alive works because not only is it FUN but it also sticks to their memory without them even realizing it. In fact mine don’t really see it as “work” they actually ask to do it! I’m primarily using it with my 10 year old but my 7 and 4 year olds watch it with him and they have picked up on amazing amount of multiplication facts already! How AWESOME is that!!
I’ve been learning all about how this type of learning can really benefit children who have processing disorders or just anyone who is a visual or auditory learner. My 10 year old absolutely loves to learn like this! Songs and catchy phrases just stick permanently in his brain (which is wonderful) and really help him when it comes to schoolwork! Another great part is he actually enjoys this type of work, because he gets it and its fun (not boring) and for 10 year old boys that’s a huge bonus đŸ˜‰ He has learned an amazing amount of his multiplication from Times Alive in SUCH A SHORT TIME! I’m so incredibly pleased with that!
I would like to also give you a heads up that they have books for multiplication, division, addition and subtraction so if you don’t have internet access or you just don’t like using it then this is a great option for you!
